With the realization of the myth of privacy, thanks to Edward Snowden, are we really comfortable with what we share online? There is so much in our industry today about privacy because of GDPR. The United States Constitution states in the Fourth Amendment, “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated…” On top of all of that, I carry a phone with more personal information than the safe I used to keep for important documents. How secure is the information we have?
My questions to you:
- Should the United States enact a GDPR type law?
- Is our right to privacy an implied or explicit right in the Constitution? Which direction do you see us heading?
